Aerospace Quality & Assembly Technician
SUMMARY
Southeastern Technology is a division of Autocam Medical and we are seeking an Aerospace Quality & Assembly Technician in our Murfreesboro, TN facility. DESCRIPTION
- Performs quality operations and inspection on all incoming aerospace subcomponents, parts/materials, and assemblies from vendors and suppliers.
- Inspect and/or assemble outgoing components and/or assemblies by measuring product dimensions, utilizing precision measuring devices, coordinate measuring systems, and examine form, fit, and functionality in comparison to the final product specifications for correct fit and finish to meet Aerospace Quality Management Systems (AQMS) and customer engineering/quality specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering specifications, GD&T, blueprints, certifications, individual part breakdowns, or other verbal or written instructions to facilitate and/or complete the assembly of all products and assembly components and/or complex Aerospace assemblies. Ability to create and complete AS9102 forms.
- Utilize pneumatic and hand tools to fabricate or repair aircraft parts and products, to include installation of bushing, bearings, rivets, hardware w/ torque values, safety wire, apply and lay aircraft sealant, De-Burr, blend, bead blast, and assemble basic to advanced aerospace components per customer’s drawings.
- Control and inventory of purchased parts to facilitate the internal and/or external assembly of aerospace primary and subcomponents. Completion of in-process check sheets, customer’s inspection procedures, and completion of internal job traveler/routers as required. Perform review/research of Material History Records and other documentation for compliance to established procedures and Good Documentation Practices.
- Disposition and control of non-conforming products by conducting product review and/or process verification to Identify repetitive or significant non-conformances and segregates all non-conforming items. Review and disposition all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per ISO9001 and AS9100 Aerospace Quality standards.

REQUIREMENTS
- U.S. Citizenship Status and background checks are required due to ITAR requirements.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, 5+ years aerospace manufacturing and/or aircraft repair experience with a minimum 2 years of experience performing QA/QC duties with AS9100, GD&T, and ANSI Y 14.5.
- Microsoft Office and Excel experience mandatory.
- CMM programing and utilization & AMP Certification Preferred.
- Candidates must successfully complete a skills and abilities assessment to demonstrate experience.
