Spine
Precison-machined Implants for Spine or Cervical Surgery
Autocam Medical engineers processes and assists with concurrent engineering to manufacture and finish spinal implant components used in reconstructive, scoliosis, disk replacement and fusion surgeries. We machine metal-on-metal (M-O-M) and metal-poly-metal (M-P-M) spinal replacement disks, in addition to hooks, rods, plates and screws used for stabilization. Autocam Medical's implants provide the flexibility needed to accommodate variations in anatomy and meet the demands of minimally invasive surgeries. Our experience in engineering complementary, dedicated instruments for spine implants provide surgeons with a more effective, efficient experience whether it be minimally invasive or specialized.

When customers involve the Autocam Medical engineering team early in the product design process to consult on manufacturability, we can significantly reduce the costs associated with bringing a product to market.
Through concurrent engineering and partnerships with customer R&D groups, Autocam Medical delivers cost-effective production methods and decreased cycle times. From the initial design through the eventual market launch, our experience in precision machining, metallurgy and gauging techniques, can assist in improving the time to market for products in clinical trial testing and validation procedure. This is especially critical in FDA-approved products that cannot be altered after approval. Autocam Medical through use of lean manufacturing techniques streamlines production and can often shorten delivery times and lower costs. For additional efficiency, Autocam Medical has invested heavily in a wide variety of CAM software technology enabling us to create CAM programs from any customer models created in native software drawing packages.
Materials
We machine all medical grades of implant and non-implant Stainless Steel, Titanium, Cobalt Chrome Moly (CCM/CCM+), Nitinol (NiTi), Exotic Alloys, Aluminum, Brass, and Polymers including PEEK, Polyethylene (UHMWPE) and others.
