Autocam Medical produces a variety of machined components and value-added subassemblies for applications in the fast-growing area of minimally invasive surgery. These include support and access systems for spinal and cranial applications, as well as arthroscopic, cardiovascular, vascular and endovascular surgery. Our micro-machining capabilities offer solutions to surgeons who require extremely small components for pushing and cutting during specialized surgeries and closing procedures.

Autocam Medical also manufactures components to be used outside the body during minimally invasive surgery and tools, such as rods for pushers and handles for drivers. We have the capabilities to assemble various precision-machined components to create assemblies for both instruments and implants.

When customers involve the Autocam Medical engineering team early in the product design process to consult on manufacturability, we can significantly reduce the costs associated with bringing a product to market.

Through concurrent engineering and partnerships with customer R&D groups, Autocam Medical delivers cost-effective production methods and decreased cycle times. From the initial design through the eventual market launch, our experience in precision machining, metallurgy and gauging techniques, can assist in improving the time to market for products in clinical trial testing and validation procedure. This is especially critical in FDA-approved products that cannot be altered after approval. Autocam Medical through use of lean manufacturing techniques streamlines production and can often shorten delivery times and lower costs. For additional efficiency, Autocam Medical has invested heavily in a wide variety of CAM software technology enabling us to create CAM programs from any customer models created in native software drawing packages.

Materials

We machine all medical grades of implant and non-implant Stainless Steel, Titanium, Cobalt Chrome Moly (CCM/CCM+), Nitinol (NiTi), Exotic Alloys, Aluminum, Brass, and Polymers including PEEK, Polyethylene (UHMWPE) and others.
